Partnerships with Schools

Sathi Om carries out different partnerships with public and private, pre-primary, primary and secondary schools. Through the implementation of workshops and awareness rising sessions, the members convey their experiences to the pupils. Using a child oriented message delivery and appropriated pedagogical material; the children can discover a foreign culture and understand development issues. They are part of the intercultural exchange, which is a key stake for for Sathi Om

Cultural events : an invitation to travel

In 2001, thanks to the sponsoring of firm AGFA, we have been enabled to perform 2 photos exhibitions about Nepal in public spaces, as well as slides shows about our action there.. The audience had the chance to discover Nepal with new eyes, as we did a few months before.

Pictures are an interesting means to show how beautiful, but needy is this country. This kind of event welcomes as well exchange of thoughts and experiences with the visitors.

We also organize Nepalese cultural parties (Including Nepalese traditional dances and chants, food, et al.) 

February 2007 : a virtual trip form France to Nepal

During the last year, Sathi Om organised an ambitious Nepalese cultural festival in Paris and Palaiseau : during one week, people were welcomed to diverse events(conferences, debate, pictures shows, diners, dances and chants performances, handicraft sells, and much more !)

For the occasion, since the cultural exchange should not be one-sided, our 3 nepalese coordinators came to Paris and took an active part in the organization and realisation of these events.

Raising Youth awareness

Established as a priority in our action in France, rising awarness of the youth is the aim of activities targeting a young audience : animation, drawing exchanges with nepalese children, et al.

 An harmonious integration in French civil society

We are taking actively taking part to the local animations, participating in municipal or regional events such as : the Forum of International solidarity, Palaiseau annual party, Charity gatherings, networks about Nepal, and so on.
